Climate change is responsible for increased weather-related disasters. This new parent-educator toolkit<https://cehn.org/ceh-movement/parent-educator-toolkit/> has a wealth of resources that are curated by grade level, resource type, and topic and include information on kid-friendly emergency preparedness. The toolkit was compiled by The Children's Environmental Health Committee of the American Public Health Association (APHA) and includes activities that can be done from home during school closures.

Updated AAP Policy Statement on Breastfeeding
The American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) has recently updated its Policy Statement on Breastfeeding and the Use of Human Milk<https://publications.aap.org/pediatrics/article/150/1/e2022057988/188347/Policy-Statement-Breastfeeding-and-the-Use-of?searchresult=1>. Key recommendations include:

* Exclusive breastfeeding for about six months, with complementary food introduction at about six months
* Continued breastfeeding until two years or beyond, if desired by both mother and child
* Maternity care practices that improve breastfeeding initiation, duration, and exclusivity
* Provision of culturally congruent breastfeeding care, including socially and culturally sensitive policies that address inequities and seek to eliminate disparities in breastfeeding
