[NNLM Region 5]

Hello!


On behalf of the NNLM, Region 5 and the search committee, I am delighted to announce that Emily Hamstra has accepted the position of Assistant Director, NNLM, Region 5, effective August 15, 2022. She will report to Cathy Burroughs, Executive Director, NNLM, Region 5.



Emily brings a wealth of knowledge to her new role in NNLM. Since 2019, she has helped establish network member relationships across our broad membership via many different channels, while simultaneously delivering quality educational offerings; maintaining a strong presence at regional and national exhibits and conferences; creating publications, presentations, and posters; contributing to NNLM working groups; and engaging members in committees and interactive programs.


Beyond her knowledge of the NNLM and NLM, she has experience working as a librarian at the University of Michigan, at a Washington public library, and also providing technical support for Proquest. Professionally, she is active in ALA's RUSA. Emily graduated from the University of Michigan School of Information in 2009.


Please join me in congratulating Emily in her new role serving NNLM members in Alaska, California, Hawaii, Nevada, Oregon, Washington and the U.S. Territories and Freely Associated States in the Pacific.
