Dear Region 5 Colleagues,
Effective January 10, 2023, Liz Morris, MLIS, joins the UW Health Sciences Library in the Network of the National Library of Medicine (NNLM) Region 5 program as Outreach & Access Coordinator serving the biomedical and health information needs of researchers, health professionals, public health workforce, educators, and the public in Alaska, California, Hawaii, Nevada, Oregon, Washington, and U.S. Territories and Freely Associated States in the Pacific.

Liz completed her Master of Library and Information Sciences degree at University of Washington (UW).  She has a Bachelor of Arts degree from UW where she majored in History with a Minor in Medical History & Ethics. Liz brings experience and skills in project management, public and medical librarianship, health information advocacy, and community engagement. While serving as a Project Manager for OCLC, Inc. from 2013-2016, she oversaw the program design, implementation, and evaluation of Health Happens in Libraries, a federally funded initiative to magnify the role of public libraries as key contributors to community health and provide resources to the public library community to support local health outcomes. Through this national initiative, she worked closely with the NNLM.
